Diving in Anilao, Philippines (17 to 19 June 2012)
I’ve been diving quite almost every month since feb this year. Took loads of pictures. No idea what to do with them. Instead of scribbling in a dive log.. I’ve decided to put it online. This is not a how to take perfect underwater blog. It is just what you can potentially see site.
This is the second time I’m diving in Anilao, with a Japanese dive resort called SunbeamAnilao. It’s well-priced and Clean and has great dive masters. And japanese lunches! Really saw great stuff this trip! And of coz, it was also my first dive as a rescue diver!
Anilao is an area with really one of the widest array of macro. The morning dive started with the dive master asking what we would like to see. One of the top of my list was .. Seahorse! I’ve only seen Pick-me seahorses that are absolutely tiny.. And always wondered if seahorses are all that small. Where did all those in the wine soaked dry seahorses in medical halls come from.
The first dive started at 9:52am at COCONUTS.
spectacular dive…. First… Caught sight of 2 octopus…
Came out… First time I saw an octopus in full action!
Next…… Frog fishes…. Many many… And big… And colorful… This is only one of them…
And…. Seahorse just before we ended the dive after 70 min…
2nd dive……Agahuta.. 58 min.
Swimming cuttlefish! It was great feeling to see it, coz I scared one away when I descended too quickly in the first dive towards a hidden cuttlefish in the sand.
3rd dive….. darilaut… 58 min.
For the next 2 dives… Saw crabs… Dragonet fish… Seahorse again….
Dived.. Secret bay 1, 2 and bubble point on day 2. Memory card error on first dive. Sad. Saw a lot.. But no pictures.
